Determinants de la sante

Ce groupe bien établi travaille à développer une forte voix transsectorielle pour parler dans l’est de l’Ontario des questions entourant les déterminants sociaux de la santé et leur impact sur les enfants et les adolescents. Parmi les aspects du travail déjà effectué par le groupe, on compte le travail sur la pauvreté et le logement.

Research on ways to communicate more effectively. In A New Way to Talk About the Social Determinants of Health, the Portfolio shares a way to create more compelling, effective and persuasive messages that resonate across the political spectrum.
Where Health Starts: A New Way to Talk About the Social Determinants of Health
From an extensive research and message development process, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's (RWJF) Vulnerable Populations Portfolio has created a new frame for talking about this important but often misunderstood aspect of our health. These findings have helped RWJF communicate more effectively about our work resulting in the development of a messaging guide entitled A New Way to Talk About the Social Determinants of Health. We recently shared this messaging guide during a webinar­with more than 3,500 registered participants. A post-event survey found that nearly three-quarters of the participants plan to use this research and messaging best practices in their own communications.

This white paper outlines the strategic vision of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC’s) National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention (NCHHSTP) for reducing health disparities and promoting health equity related to our conditions of interest. The purpose of the white paper is to advance a holistic approach to the design of our public health programs to advance the health of communities and increase their opportunities for healthy living.
