A Collaborative Blueprint for Action 2009 - 2013

We are committed to helping children and youth grow up healthy, confident and secure -ensuring they are able to, or enabled to, realize their full potential and develop capacities needed to participate in and contribute to their communities.

Over the past year, CYHNEO has been talking with families, service providers and organizational

representatives on child and youth issues and what we can collectively do to improve their health status

and services. Many of you participated in those discussions, panels and surveys. Your time, expertise and creative contributions have led to the development of this report: A Collaborative Blueprint for Action: Promoting Cross-Sectoral Integration for the Healthy Development of Children and Youth in

Eastern Ontario, 2009-2013.

The challenge was to develop feasible and strategic recommendations that raise the profile of child and youth health issues, and that identify opportunities to address structural and policy issues linked to service improvement, coordination and integration. The overall goal was to contribute to the healthy development of children and youth from a cross-sectoral perspective.
